The Thinning Veil

Can you sense it? The veil is slowly thinning, and will become the thinnest when the sun enters 15 degrees Scorpio, around November 7th, 2013. Which is something new I learned from Ed Fitch at DFWPPD. Before then I thought Samhain was October 31st – November 2nd, so this extends the festivities a bit.

At this time Beltane is happening on the Southern Hemisphere. Beltane and Samhain is both times of a thin veil. Which makes sense that the entire world experiences a thin veil at the same time.

Already though, interesting things are happening around my house. Little things are happening to let me know that certain ancestors and spirits are here visiting. Scents of perfume, my antique dolls moving, beaded curtains doing the shimmy when no one is around.   My dreams have become very vivid, specially last night. Now is the perfect time for divination of any sort.

Stores are really emphasizing Halloween, Aldi has began stocking some of my favorite seasonal items like apple butter and the spiced pumpkin cider. There are pumpkins everywhere, in everything, and I can’t wait til we carve them. Which is a good seasonal form of protecting ones home.

So has anyone else experienced some spiritual activity? What are your favorite things about this time of the year? I’d love to hear about them!

Bright Blessings!

  1. Lots of synchronicities happening. I live out of town and driving new moon a.m. on very quiet road 1st. car past me number plate my specific number. So I checked all number windows in car, clocks odometers etc, 3 out of 4 brought up same number. The day before I suddenly thought of a book, “Medugorje” that I had had 20 years before and thought I would love to read it again but the chances of finding would be pretty impossible. So that a.m. I dumped some stuff at the tip and was looking in the shop there at books and yes! it was there! Probably paid 50 cents for it.
That same a.m. a vision of arum flowers appeared to me and I went to a friends house later and she had a pot of them flowering on her patio.
